We formed Escape Glass Ltd. in 2003 and have never looked back. We are so grateful for the chance to bring your designs and ideas to life through glass.

Established over 20 years ago, Escape Glass is a small and dedicated team of artisans based in the enchanting city of Invercargill, New Zealand. We specialize in crafting exquisite glass art and bespoke glass splashbacks, meticulously handcrafted to elevate your spaces with elegance and creativity. 

Escape Glass manufacture what is currently New Zealand's only toughened slumped glass.

Hand crafted and customised designs help us to tailor glass designs to your needs. Our one of a kind glass products have the potential to bring the extra wow factor to your home or business.

Inspiration for our hand crafted designs are drawn from New Zealand’s stunning  nature, sea, birds, landscape & Kiwiana culture. Each piece is bespoke and unique.

Every project is custom made. We don’t have pre-made sheets in stock, in fact we don’t have any stock as no two clients or projects are the same. This allows for greater design creativity and flexibility, every job is ‘bespoke’.
No two pieces are ever the same. 

Between us we have over 25 years experience in the glass industry, slumping in particular,  and have developed and grown the product to what you see today. Something we are proud to have displayed in your homes and businesses.

As our slumped glass is all custom made on site, at our Invercargill factory, we are able to work around your range hoods, cupboard and electrical fitting needs. We are pleased to say our glass meets all NZ safety standards and is extremely versatile, practical and low maintenance. 

In addition to glass slumping we offer printed vinyl images on glass (these are perfect for wall art and splash backs), vinyl branding elements, etching and custom graphics from our in house graphic designer.

We now collaborate with local artists and photographers for all our project. This means your imagery or the inspiration for all of our art is locally based and rooted in Southland.

Dot was born and grew up in Otautau in Western Southland. The view from her home was of the Takitimu mountains, the Aparima river and the Longwoods bush. Dot was given her first camera when she was 11 years old and quickly learned about practice and persistence and this has turned into a lifelong passion for photographing flora and fauna.

At the heart of my photography has been her continued and consistent photographic exploration for over 60 years, and excitement in sharing with others what she can see looking through the lens of her camera, and for people to see and experience the awesome wonders and beauty of Creation.
